About

We are a youth and female-led NGO.

Our organisation was founded in Bologna, Italy in 2020 by Isabella De Gregorio, Stella Guizzardi, Sara Fantappié, and Cathy La Torre. We are based in Brussels since 2025.

We combine advocacy, education, and capacity building to transform awareness into action and ideas into impact. Our activities span from citizen lobbying and education on youth leadership, SRHR, gender equality, LGBTIQA+ rights, intergenerational fairness and democracy.

How we do it

  • Advocacy and citizen lobbying at EU and national level: Engaging with national and European institutions, drafting proposals, and working with citizens and policymakers to drive systemic change.
  • Education, training, and capacity-building (schools, universities, professional training): From schools and universities to professional training and cultural and communications activities, we raise awareness and build skills for active citizenship.
  • Research and Knowledge management: Conducting studies and research to deepen understanding and support evidence-based action.
  • Events and Projects: Designing and participating in seminars, exhibitions, festivals, international projects, and campaigns to spread awareness and foster change.
  • International partnerships: Working with public institutions, NGOs, private actors, and international organizations to create lasting impact.

Why Eduxo.eu? What’s in a name?

The name Eduxo comes from the Latin educere, meaning “to lead out” or “to bring forth.” It reflects our mission to unlock critical thinking and empower individuals to actively engage with human rights and global issues.

  • The X stands for encounter, intersection, and unity — symbolizing diversity and the meeting of ideas and people.
  • The O represents the world, circularity, and our contemporary reality — a reminder of our global perspective and holistic approach.

Through education, awareness, and advocacy, Eduxo develops the critical thinking of its communities in Italy, Belgium, and Spain, promoting active citizenship and meaningful participation in democratic life, with an intersectional, interdisciplinary and intergenerational approach.

.eu highlights our European identity. It positions Eduxo not just as part of the broader European project — a network that is international, inclusive, and deeply connected to the values of democracy and equality.

Our core values – what we stand for

Equality & Inclusion: We believe every person deserves equal opportunities and respect, regardless of gender, background, or identity. We work to remove barriers and create spaces where diversity is celebrated.

Youth leadership: Young people are not only the future, they are the present. We empower youth to take leadership roles, influence decision-making, and shape inclusive societies.

Human rights & dignity: The dignity of every individual is at the core of our mission. We protect and promote civil, social, and political rights as the foundation of freedom, justice, and peace. We stand against violence, discrimination, and inequality. We promote a culture of non-violence, and fairness within and among communities.

Global citizenship: We see local challenges as part of a global picture. We foster awareness, solidarity, and responsibility across borders to build sustainable and just societies in line with the UN 2030 Agenda.

Agenda 2030 – SDGs

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a global framework adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. It aims to address various global challenges, including poverty, inequality, and climate change, through 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals are designed to be achieved by 2030 and cover a broad range of issues, such as ending poverty, promoting sustainable economies, and taking action to combat climate change. The agenda emphasizes a collaborative approach, encouraging partnerships among governments, civil society, and the private sector to ensure a sustainable future for all. Eduxo aligns with these objectives, doing our part everyday.
