At EDUXO, we believe that lasting change begins with education, participation, and empowerment.
Through our campaigns and projects, we give voice to young people across Europe, turning ideas into action for equality, democracy, and human rights.

YouthPowerEU

YouthPowerEU is EDUXO’s flagship campaign for youth political participation in Europe. Launched in May 2024, right before the European elections, it aims to lower the minimum age to run for the European Parliament in countries where it is still higher than 18, promoting equal access to democratic representation for young citizens.
More generally, this project is about youth engagement in decision-making processes. The campaign brings together activists, organisations, and policymakers from across Europe to advocate for institutional reforms that make democracy more inclusive and representative.
It combines advocacy, education, and capacity-building to empower a new generation of changemakers who are ready to take part in decision-making.
For us at EDUXO, democracy is not just a political system — it’s a way of life.
We are committed to promoting awareness of the importance of civic participation and the right to vote. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive, and democratic Europe — one where every voice matters.
Under YouthPowerEU we lead:
Ambassadors Programme
A European network of young advocates who act as local champions of democracy, equality, and youth participation. Ambassadors are trained and supported by EDUXO to design and lead civic actions, policy dialogues, and awareness campaigns in their own countries and communities.
Through online trainings, peer learning, and international exchanges, they build their capacity to influence decision-making, represent their peers, and strengthen democratic culture at local and European level.
Advocacy & Capacity building
Through strategic policy dialogue, open letters, and institutional partnerships, the campaign works to influence legislation and political discourse on youth representation, equality, and participation. EDUXO engages directly with decision-makers promoting reforms that improve participation for young people.
We also train youth in advocacy techniques, policy monitoring, and civic lobbying, especially how to navigate decision-making processes and engage with policymakers effectively. For example, we’ve shaped an interactive workshop during the EYE2025.
Leading Change: Women in Politics for an Inclusive Future
A campaign empowering young women aged 18–25 to engage in politics, share their experiences, and challenge gender barriers in leadership.
Within this project we have organised, for example, a high-level event at the European Parliament, co-hosted by MEPs Scuderi, Guarda, Schilling & Peter-Hansen, and we have built a communications campaign in collaboration with the Anna Lindh Foundation.
Why it matters
The exclusion of youth in decision-making processes has wide-reaching consequences for democracy and representation:
- Exclusion of young voices
Limiting youth participation in politics deprives Italy and the EU of unique perspectives, experiences, and priorities that young people bring to the table. - Generational imbalance
A fair democracy must represent all age groups. Excluding younger generations favours those over 35 in decision-making processes. - Lack of political engagement
Preventing young people from running for office discourages active participation and weakens long-term democratic involvement. - Alienation and disaffection
When young people feel ignored and underrepresented, distrust in politics and institutions grows — leading to lower youth voter turnout. - Lost leadership potential
Keeping young citizens out of electoral politics means losing innovative leaders and solutions that could address today’s challenges. - Reduced democratic legitimacy
Excluding an entire demographic weakens the legitimacy and effectiveness of democratic institutions and undermines social cohesion.
EDUXO is proudly part of Together.eu, an initiative by the European Parliament aimed at engaging citizens in Europe’s democratic life and encouraging participation in the European elections.

At the heart of this initiative lies the belief that democracy is a continuous commitment, starting with each individual and growing through collective action.

Loveducation

A movement for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender equality, Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and LGBTIQA+ inclusion. It includes the #LeadLikeHer Mentorship Programme, which supports young women in leadership. Loveducation promotes education for respect, dignity, and equality across Europe.
We believe that learning about diversity, intimacy justice, identity, and relationships is the foundation of a more just and inclusive society.
Under Loveducation we lead:
🎨 Art4Love
Art4Love is the creative contest for public and private schools in Italy and Italian schools abroad. Every year, students express their views on affectivity, gender identity, and equality through art, writing, and multimedia.
The contest invites reflection on diversity, empathy, and freedom of expression — transforming classrooms into spaces of dialogue and imagination.
The 2025–26 edition, titled “Who’s Afraid of Love?”, explores LGBTIQ+ love and contrast to homophobia. The project culminates in the Art4Love Awards Ceremony, hosted in Brussels at the European Parliament, celebrating creativity as a driver of social change.
👩💼 #LeadLikeHer Mentorship Programme
Under the Loveducation umbrella, EDUXO launched the #LeadLikeHer Mentorship Programme, supporting young women and gender-diverse people in leadership, advocacy, and self-development.
The programme connects 28 mentees from the EuroMed region with 13 experienced female mentors from politics, civil society, and media, offering guidance, workshops, and peer-learning sessions on confidence, communication, and feminist leadership.
#LeadLikeHer is more than a mentorship — it’s a community where young women empower each other to take space, lead boldly, and transform their fields with integrity and creativity.
🧠 Advocacy & Capacity Building
Loveducation is also an advocacy platform that works to advance sexual and reproductive rights across Europe.
We engage with institutions, schools, and communities to push for Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) as a fundamental right and to ensure that every person — regardless of gender, orientation, or background — has access to inclusive and affirming learning environments.
Through training sessions, policy dialogues, and international collaborations, we equip educators, youth workers, and activists with the tools to promote equality, prevent gender-based violence, and build safer, more inclusive societies.

Installation of “Red Benches” abroad
As part of our commitment to combating GBV and promoting equality, this initiative brings to international settings a powerful Italian symbol of remembrance and awareness.
Each red bench represents a permanent reminder that violence should never be normalized or ignored. The benches serve as public spaces for reflection, dialogue, and community engagement, encouraging people to take a stand every day, not only on 25/11.
The very first international Red Bench has been inaugurated by Eduxo, marking a historic milestone in extending this movement beyond Italy’s borders and fostering cross-cultural solidarity for women’s rights and gender equality.

Through YouthPowerEU, we are shaping a more inclusive and intergenerational democracy in Europe.
The campaign has raised awareness about the need to lower the age of candidacy for the European Parliament and increase youth representation in decision-making.
Our advocacy actions have:
- Engaged over 200 policymakers, MEPs, and civil society leaders in Italy and Brussels.
- Mobilised thousands of signatures through our petition calling for democratic reform.

Through events at the European Parliament, youth assemblies, and policy dialogues, YouthPowerEU has built bridges between citizens and institutions — ensuring that democracy reflects all voices, not just older generations.

Loveducation
With Loveducation, we are creating a cultural and educational shift around sexuality, gender, and equality.
Since 2020, the campaign has reached over 1 million students and educators through workshops, creative contests, exhibitions, and advocacy.
Key achievements include:

- The Amore in Mostra exhibition, launched in Italy, which brought together artists, teachers, and students to showcase art as a tool for social change.
- The #LeadLikeHer Mentorship Programme, empowering 28+ young women and gender-diverse people to take leadership roles in politics, activism, and media.
- Policy engagement with educational institutions and ministries across Europe to promote Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and youth well-being.
Loveducation has become a cross-border movement uniting schools, NGOs, and institutions in the fight for respectful, inclusive education.
